BLANK was started is 2004 in Cheddar, Somerset, when Rob Hill and Andy Bishop of Split Second Imports decided they needed another BMX brand to add to their bike portfolio. Rather than try to acquire an existing brand, they decided that due to the years of experience they had both accumulated in the study of bike spec, costs, design and import logistics, they would use all of their ideas and expertise to invent their own!

BLANK was born. The first range of bikes featured 2 distinct types of bikes – street/ramp bikes (the FRANK, AMMO, MEDIA, SCREEN, CELL and SLATE) and street/dirt bikes (the ICON, SPACE, STARE, FACE and EXPRESSION). Over the years, as riding styles have changed (weight is more important these days than strength, for example), so too have the bikes, and BLANK now offers bikes which are of universal appeal to street/ramp/dirt riders.

The philosophy of BLANK from Day One has been to offer the kind of products the high-end BMX brands offer, at the prices they don’t! The same handlebars (8” rise, 28” width) which would cost £70 from one brand, will cost you £40 from BLANK, despite the fact that they are made from the same material, by the same manufacturers in exactly the same way! Quality products, honestly priced.

In 2007 BLANK started flowing product to a small but hearty team of riders who have been spreading the name ever since, at competitions, jams and displays all over the UK
